Internship Programme

The internship programme in the Brussels office of GEF offers the possibility to gain insight into the activities of a political foundation on European level, cooperating with European organisations as well as with national Green political foundations all over Europe. Interns will work in an international atmosphere and be involved in organising workshops and conferences, editing publications, updating the homepage and preparing reports.

Applicants should meet the following criteria 

  • The internship can be done as a part of a university programme or at the start of your professional career. Preference is given to applicants with a background in EU-related university programmes.
  • An excellent working knowledge of English - both spoken and written. All additional language skills are highly welcome.
  • The minimum duration of an internship is three months but the standard duration is five/six months.  

Application procedure 

Note: The next available internship opportunities are for the September 2013 – February 2014 period.  Internship positions are based around two annual periods. The first period is February-July and the second is September-February. The application deadline for the February-July period is October 30th and the application deadline for the September-February period is April 30th.
