26 July 2012 in Lubiatowo, Poland
GEF workshop at Polish anti-nuclear camp
GEF is co-organising, together with the Polish Zielony Instytut and the Warsaw office of the Heinrich Boell Stiftung, a workshop on green jobs related to renewable energy during a 5 day anti-nuclear camp at Lubiatowo in Poland.

This workshop is the 4th in a series of GEF workshops and seminars in support of the anti-nuclear/pro-renewable dialogue in Poland, and will focus on the green jobs potential of renewable energy and energy efficiency at a local level which makes these policies an attractive alternative to nuclear energy. The debate is particularly relevant in the region, where several governments are planning to construct new nuclear plants. This is despite growing public opposition and the events in Fukushima.

Speakers will include Dariusz Szwed and Beata Maciejewska from the Green Institute, Bartosz Lotarewicz who is a local councillor from Germany with an expertise in green jobs and Lucja Ptaszynska, an expert on environmental protection.

Further details of the anti-nuclear camp and the hbs Warsaw summer school (which will take place within this anti-nuclear camp), are available on the event website
