Eight employees in total. Six staff members work 32 hours, two 16 hours a week. Bureau de Helling has reguraly one or two interns and/or volunteers. In 2011 it also established a 'youth department' called Hellingproef, which is targeted at students and other young intellectuals and professionals.

Sources of Funding€220.000 project subsidy from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the MATRA Social Transformation Programme, which is aimed at strengthening democracy and civil society in Eastern Europe and EU accession countries; GroenLinks; Ministry of Interior Affairs.
Relation to the Green Party Independent foundation affiliated to the political party GroenLinks. Its autonomy is guaranteed by formal convenant.

Mission/Main goals

To influence public debate on issues such as greening the economy, labour market reform and education, a broker between all kinds of networks and the party, mobilizing intellectual talent for the party and creating platforms for research and debate, to contribute to debates inside as well as outside the party with the aim of embedding the green political and ideological programme further into society.
