Size (Employees/Volunteers) Core team of about 20 people and 1,000 professionals on whose work it can draw for specialist inputs into bids and projects.

Budget/Funding GEI has an annual budget of around 100,000 €. Its funding derives from projects, conferences, publications, donations and membership contributions. 
Relation to the Green Party The Institute is independent and is not directly affiliated with any Green party or any other party. It is part of the wider Green/progressive movement. Members of a number of European Green parties and other Green parties worldwide are on Advisory Committees of the Institute.
