Thirty Green activists from around Europe have been selected to take part in the program. Over three days, they will be introduced to key concepts concerning EU-level policy making, from the various EU institutions, their roles, competences, the decision making processes, the non-institutional actors such as lobbies, as well as the 2012 EU policy highlights.
Three specific policy areas will be addressed in detail: the reform of the Common Agricultural Policy, the economic crisis and its implications on European democracy, and citizen participation in the EU.
The seminar represents a great opportunity to meet European level Green actors, with visist to the Greens/EFA Group in the European Parliament and the European Green Party, as well as many speakers active at the EU level of policy making.
