The "European Citizens' Initiative Pocket Guide", authored by Bruno Kaufmann, who has previously also written the GEF Handbook on the ECI, will be ready before April 1st, thus offering EU citizens a first manual on the ECI.
The publication will feature a dedicated step-by-step guide to the different roles in an ECI process - as organisers, supporters and observers, including references to all relevant legal texts, available online tools such as the European Commission’s registry and updated information on who to contact for further assistance. The Guide will further help users identify how to position their own initiative in order to maximize the chances of achieving thier goals. Last but not least, it will provide links to the legislation governing the initiative and all the necessary information needed for a successful use of the process.
GEF's Handbook on the European Citizens' Initiative now also available in Greek
GEF's first publication on the topic, "The European Citizens' Initiative Handbook" is now available in Greek as well. The publication was translated by Greek Green MEP Michalis Tremopoulos.
You can download the Greek version, as well as any of the other 5 language versions on the GEF website.
