Tired of all the haters, fake news and conspiracy theories you see on TikTok? Are you a 16 – 19-year-old TikToker? Are you from Italy, Romania or Croatia? Then this bootcamp might be for you!

About the bootcamp

Our very first anti-fake news and hate-speech bootcamp will take place in Zagreb, Croatia, in January 2022. There you will have the unique chance to get expert training on how to spot fake news, conspiracy theories and hate speech, and how to take action.

You will be a part of small international group of young activists, and spend 4 days discussing and creating with a common goal: how to make TikTok a better place – for yourself and others!

No need for any prior experience on climate-change related topics, or on conspiracy theories and fake news. All you need is the desire and passion to make this platform a better, safer place. And a TikTok account of course.

Practicalities

This training will take place online

Interested?

Apply before the 18th January!

Send an email to laura.bazen@gef.eu and tell us a bit about yourself and why you’re interested to apply. Any format will do (a few paragraphs, a video, a poster, etc).
