Apply for Capacity Building digital workshop series “Resilience and Resource Mobilisation” today!

Context:

The global health and economic crises are forcing nonprofit organisations in Europe and beyond to adapt to unprecedentedly strenuous conditions. One of the most impacted fields for nonprofit organisations has been fundraising and resource mobilisation, with shrinking resources provided by philanthropic foundations, corporations, and individuals alike and in-person events being severely restricted.

In response to this challenge, the Green European Foundation is putting forth a workshop on resource mobilisation, aiming to assist civil society actors and grassroots movements working on topics such as education on Europe and European values, green transition and Green Deal, sustainability, social justice, gender equality and energy transition, to find solutions to their fundraising outlook and strategy.

The workshop will take place on October 9, 2020, from 14:00 – 15:30.

Workshop Objectives:

Throughout the 1.5h workshop, participants will find out what are some of the key challenges and response measures in the field of fundraising, share their experience on best practices in the field of fundraising, and find potential partners to apply for funding together with.

Format:

The expert, Karen Hoehn, will commence by sharing her fundraising insights, followed by questions from the moderator and audience. The discussion will be followed by open space sessions on fundraising topics that the participants will be invited to join, depending on their interest, and exchange about the best practices and challenges that they face in their resource mobilisation efforts. We aim to have participants representing small and medium-sized non-profits, activists and representatives of grassroots movements.

Speaker:

Karen Hoehn is a fundraising professional, who has raised US1.65 billion to improve health and reduce poverty among impoverished communities and vulnerable people in the US, Africa, Asia, Latin America and Europe by developing programs and systems; influencing public policy; mobilising resources and helping organisations grow.

Please note: we will be selecting a maximum of 20 participants for this workshop to ensure an environment more conducive to comfortable, lively and fruitful exchanges.

The implementation of the “Resilience and Resource Mobilisation Workshops” project within the framework of the Bosch Alumni Network and the Green European Foundation was made possible by the International Alumni Center and the financial support of the European Parliament.
