SUMMARY:Reforming the Finnish Mining Law
DESCRIPTION:As part of the Green European Foundation’s Metals for a green and digital Europe transnational project\, we will look at how the initiative for reforming the Finnish Mining Act started with the Finnish Parliament’s ratification of the EU-Canada Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) in 2018. The proposal on the reform\, originally intended to be submitted to Parliament in December 2020\, has now been postponed by a year as the Ministry chose to include an instrument for the comparison of interests in the reform just as the working group was about to finish its work. During this event we will focus on the background of the reform\, examining the content of the draft\, and offer suggestions for its improvement. Moreover\, we will look at the Metals for a green and digital Europe project outputs and specifically the Agenda for Action document presenting concrete policy recommendations to be published in October 2021.  \nYou can contribute to this Agenda by joining one of our webinars or by commenting on our draft text\, which can be found on www.metalsforeurope.eu \nThe project is led by the Green European Foundation and Wetenschappelijk Bureau GroenLinks. It is supported by Fundacija Strefa Zieloni\, Institut Aktivního Občanství\, Green Economics Institute\, Etopia\, Visio and Transición Verde. \n  \nSpeakers \n\nRichard Wouters\, Project leader ‘Metals for a green and digital Europe’ for the Green European Foundation & Weternschappelijk Bureau GroenLinks\nJuho Heikkilä\, student of Economics and Environmental Economics\, Author of the ‘Mining operations taxed lightly in Finland’ publication\nMari Holopainen\, Member of the Finnish Parliament\n\nModerated by: Simo Raittila\, Project Coordinator at Visio \n  \n  \nPracticalities\nDate and time: Monday\, 30th August from 16:00 to 17:30 CET. \nAudience: This webinar will take place in English and is open to the general public \nRegistration: no registration required\, please join our LiveStream! \nPlease note the event will be organised through the StreamYard platform\, with Facebook live\, and YouTube livestream with a possibility for the audience to ask questions from the speakers. \nYouTube live link : Webinar: Reforming the Finnish Mining Law – YouTube \nFacebook live link : Ajatuspaja Visio – Posts | Facebook \n\nThis project is organised by the Green European Foundation with the support of Visio and with the financial support of the European Parliament to the Green European Foundation. SUMMARY:GEF at the Green Days: On the Way to COP26
DESCRIPTION:About the Event: \nThe past year has taught us painful but vital lessons about our relation to nature\, the importance of often underfunded public services\, and other topics which the Greens have been highlighting for years. Yet as the green wave continues rolling\, and with pandemic lessons fresh on our mind\, now is precisely the time to refocus attention on key challenges like the climate emergency and to ensure that green-minded activists and politicians are ready to take responsibility at all levels.        \nThe annual Green Days conference is an important moment of learning and exchange for the green movement in Poland and beyond. GEF is hosting several sessions at this event – tackling important topics on the road to COP26. SUMMARY:Gender Equality and Climate Crisis
DESCRIPTION:About the Event\nThis meeting will welcome activists\, NGO representatives\, and other interested participants to explore the climate crisis and its relation to gender equality. We experience the consequences of the climate crisis in all areas of our daily lives because of extreme climate events and disasters in every part of the world. We are aware of the urgency to produce policies sufficiently addressing climate change. For this reason\, we know that discussions on climate justice\, mitigation and adaptation debates would be incomplete without addressing gender equality. Our open discussion will focus on three fundamental questions: \n\nWhat could be the steps to ensure gender-based climate justice\, particularly in Turkey?\nHow could we better communicate the common struggles of the climate and gender equality movements?\nWhat is the role of NGOs and civil society in climate feminism?\n\nContext\nThis is the third of five meetings as part of the Feminist Policies in Green Politics project\, where we will delve into different policy areas to strengthen European feminist politics in energy\, economics\, climate policies\, ecology and food & agriculture. Our goal is to identify the difficulties in these areas and compile empowering policy recommendations. Besides these webinars\, the project also features a series of Green Feminist Talks (podcasts) where we will hear more from inspiring activists and politicians across Europe. \nProgramme\n14:00-15:30 (CEST)  \n15:00-16:30 (Istanbul Time)  \n15:00-15:15  Opening + short meeting in breakout rooms  \n15:15 – 15:30  Keynote speech: Ece Baykal (academic at Marmara University and climate activist)  \n15:30-16.30  Network meeting and open discussion  \nModeration: İdil Zeynep Dağdemir \nCall for Action\nThis online event will take place in Turkish. You can register via this link.   \n  \n\nThis webinar is organised by the Green European Foundation with the support Green Thought Association and with the financial support of the European Parliament. The European Parliament is not responsible for the content of this webinar.  \n

SUMMARY:Terrestrial Forum: Horizons of Change- Summer School
DESCRIPTION:About the event:\nSociologists define social change as changes in human interactions and relationships that transform cultural and social institutions. Well known examples of such change have resulted from social movements in civil rights\, women’s rights\, and LBGTQ rights\, to name just a few. \nThe desire for change will be the driving force of this Summer School. We will explore together progressive policies\, institutional practices and the fight for a just society within the limits of global sustainability. The National Forum’s purpose is to inspire progressive policy discussions and facilitate a networking space for social actors. This year’s program comprises three modules: \n\nAffordable housing.\nDemocratization of public services and management of public resources.\nA fair energy transition.\n\nContext\nSerbia has been under a conservative and authoritarian government for almost a decade. During this time\, the powers in office have rapidly decomposed all the remaining welfare services and further deteriorated the already fragile democratic institutions. Whether one looks at the political\, economic or social aspects\, the Serbian society cries out for a radical structural change. Although we’ve witnesses a rise in resisting practices that show alternative models of governing\, we need to strengthen our efforts to coordinate the counter-hegemonic voices to achieve better results. \n\nPracticalities:\nThe program will unfold under the current COVID-19 measures. Travel\, accommodation and food costs are covered by the summer school organizer. The official language of the school will be B / C / S\, while some lectures will be held in English. \nDates: 23rd-29th August \nWhere: Sremski Karlovci (Serbia) \n  \n\nThis event is organised by Green European Foundation with the support of MINISTARSTVO PROSTORA and with the financial support of the European Parliament to the Green European Foundation.

SUMMARY:Climate Feminist Summer School
DESCRIPTION:About the Event\nWomen and minorities are more likely to be affected by the impacts of climate change and environmental crises\, but are also key to bringing about change in their communities. Countries with more diversity in decision-making have more ambitious climate policies\, while the empowerment of women is also closely linked to better economic and wellbeing outcomes for all.   \nWe need this diversity and we celebrate it\, but we also know that it flourishes best when it is pursued actively and obstacles are clearly understood. Specific support for systemically underrepresented groups\, including women and non-binary people\, is crucial in order to make a change in traditionally male-dominated spaces.   \nHow are women currently excluded from climate negotiations and decisions? What are the lessons and insights from those leaders who have managed to break through? What are the narratives and structures that keep inequalities in place\, and the “gender-blind” solutions that fail to challenge the status quo? How does the patriarchal exploitation of the planet relate to the lived experiences and activism of women of colour\, indigenous women\, LGBTQ+ women\, and others? And above all\, what can we do to address all of this?   \nThis online summer school will feature a series of interactive sessions to explore the gendered impacts of the climate crisis\, but also provide concrete tools\, inspiration\, and knowledge to equip participants in their own lives and with a special eye on COP26. We will facilitate encounters between activists\, climate scientists\, researchers\, policy makers\, campaigners\, politicians\, and the general public\, in order to move this priority high on the agenda and spark connections across Europe and beyond.  \nContext: \nThis summer school is part of the project “Feminists in the Climate Movement\,” organised by GEF with the support of Visio\, Green Economics Institute\, Oikos\, and Fundacja Strefa Zieleni. With a closed training programme for selected Feminist Climate Ambassadors as well as a series of public events\, the project seeks to build capacity among (potential) climate leaders\, while highlighting the gendered aspects and impacts of the climate crisis to a broader audience.    \nSpeakers: \nConfirmed speakers include:  \n\nProf. Graciela Chichilnisky (professor of economics at Columbia University\, IPCC lead author\, co-founder of Global Thermostat) \nClare Bailey (Leader of Green Party Northern Ireland)\nJean Lambert (European Green Party)\nMana Livardjani (Director of ENOP – European Network of Political Foundations)\nFrances Roberts-Gregory (Northeastern University Future Faculty Fellow)\nPatrizia Heidegger (European Environmental Bureau)\nRahila James (ActionAid Nigeria)\nMarie Pochon (Notre Affaire a Tous)\nEwa Sufin-Jacquemart (director of Strefa Zieleni\, Congress of Women coordinator) \nChelangat Scholar (national chairperson at Green Congress of Kenya) \nOlfa Jelassi (GenderCC) \nDr. Alexandra Harrington (research director at Centre for International Sustainable Development Law) \n\nAnd many more! \nProgramme:  \nThe full programme and speakers can be found here. Please note that sessions are subject to change.  \nPracticalities: \nDate and time: August 20th – 22nd (13:00 – 19:30)    \n\nSessions include plenaries\, networking\, workshops\, social sessions\, and many other formats. There will be plenty of extended breaks\, and participants are welcome to join whenever and for whichever session(s) they want.  \n\nAudience: This summer school will take place in English\, online\, and is open to the general public. We strive for an open but safe space\, making the summer school as interactive and accessible as possible while ensuring the wellbeing of our participants.    \nRegistration: Please register in advance here.  \n  \n\nThis event is organised by the Green European Foundation with the support of the Green Economics Institute and with the financial support of the European Parliament to the Green European Foundation. SUMMARY:Ecotransformation of Cities Summer School
DESCRIPTION:About the Event: \nToday\, more than 70% of people in the Czech Republic live in cities. For most of us\, the city has become a major environment. The appearance of urban space is fundamentally reflected in the quality of our lives. But cities also have a significant impact on their surroundings. They contribute significantly to the production of carbon emissions and thus contribute to climate change. Urban sustainability is one of the keys to solving many global problems.  \nThis July\, we will discuss ideas and inspirations on how to build healthier\, greener and more resilient post-pandemic cities. We will explore topics such as sustainable urban mobility\, supporting healthy local food\, introducing principles of the circular economy or climate neutrality at the urban level\, and how these concepts impact the quality of life in cities.  \nPromoting change towards a more sustainable future requires cooperation with many partners. We must communicate our ideas in an inclusive way and invite others to the dialogue. This is why we traditionally include practical workshops in the program\, for example on communicating climate change\, or how to link municipal policy and local activism in a divided society. Like planetary resources\, our powers are not unlimited\, so we will also find time for tips on how to take care of your mental health and not burn out.  \nContext: \nThis is the second edition of the Ecotransformation summer school\, which seeks to empower (local) politicians\, activists\, academics\, and engaged citizens to better understand key green and environmental issues and act for change in their own communities. With a mix of traditional debates and presentations\, but also skill-building workshops and more open and informal networking spaces\, the summer school inspires\, connects\, and activates participants for a lasting impact.  \nSpeakers: \n\nLucie Trlifajová (Institute of Sociology of the Czech Academy of Sciences) \nBarbora Bakošová (Re-Set) \nRichard Wouters (Wetenschappelijk Bureau GroenLinks) \n\n\nAnna Kšírová (Doctors for Future) \nOndráš Přibyla (Fakta o klimatu) \nHana Matoušová (City councillor and member of Urban Development Commission\, Prague 8) \nMichal Berg (European Green Party) \n\nAnd many more!  \nProgramme:  \nA weekend full of interesting seminars\, debates\, presentations and experiential workshops awaits us.   \nThursday\, July 22nd  \n19:00 – 21:00 Public debate: Green Recovery of Europe\, with Lucie Trlifajová (Institute of Sociology of the Czech Academy of Sciences) and Barbora Bakošová (Re-Set)  \nFriday\, July 23rd  \n9:00 – 9:45 Icebreaker with Klára Berg (GEF)  \n10:00 – 12:00 Parallel sessions: Air Quality in Cities / How to Talk about the Climate Crisis  \n14:30 – 16:00 Parallel sessions: Modern Waste Management of Cities / Mental Wellness – Forest Mind  \n16:30 – 18:00 Parallel sessions: Re-use Centres / Gender-Sensitive Budgeting and Public Spending  \n20:00 – 22:00 Debate: Cooperation of Progressive Environmental Movements in Politics\, with Michal Šmarda\, Michal Berg and others  \nSaturday\, July 24th  \n9:00 – 10:30 Parallel sessions: Metals for a Green and Digital Europe / Visual Smog in Cities  \n11:00 – 12:30  Parallel sessions: Transport and Sustainable Urban Development / Email Marketing and Copywriting   \n14:30 – 16:00  Parallel sessions: Urban Green Space Management in Times of Climate Change / Guided Arboretum Walk  \n16:30 – 18:00 Parallel sessions: A Charter for the Smart City / Communal Politics and Local Activism in a Time of Social Division  \n20:00 – 22:00 Mental Wellness: Self-Care in Politics and Activism  \nSunday\, July 25th  \n9:00 – 12:30 Open Space – time for participants’ own ideas and contributions  \nPracticalities: \nDate: 22-25 July  \nPlace: Kostelec nad Černými lesy\, Czech Republic  \nPrice: The registration fee includes accommodation and meals.  \n\nBasic fee: CZK 990 \nReduced fee: CZK 650 \nSponsorship fee: over CZK 990 \n\nThe reduced fee is intended for those participants who\, for whatever reason\, cannot afford the basic fee. SUMMARY:REACHING ZERO CARBON TRANSPORT: WHAT WILL IT TAKE?
DESCRIPTION:About the Event: \nThe UK and EU are planning investments in transport infrastructure – airports\, seaports\, new roads and railways – which will lock in future carbon emissions and make their ‘net zero’ targets impossible to meet.  \nHow can we achieve zero carbon emissions from transport of freight and passengers? What needs to change to make net zero carbon transport a reality? Where should public money be invested? And what obstacles are blocking this?  \nPlease join us to explore these questions – and share ideas on how we can redirect policy to make it fit for a climate emergency economy . \n  \nContext: \nThis webinar is part of the project Climate Emergency Economy – organised by GEF with the support of Green House Think Tank\, Wetenschappelijk Bureau GroenLinks\, Green Foundation Ireland\, and the Foundation for Environment and Agriculture. The project explores policies required in ‘hard-to-reach’ sectors for Europe to reach zero carbon. In 2021\, activities are centred around three key pillars: agriculture\, hydrogen\, and transport infrastructure and trade.   \n  \nSpeakers:  \n\nNatalie Bennett – Green Party peer and former leader of the Green Party of England and Wales \nProf. Julian Allwood – Professor of Engineering and the Environment at the University of Cambridge\, and Head of the Use Less Group and UK FIRES \nJonathan Essex\, chartered engineer and environmentalist \n\n\nAndrew Murphy\, Aviation Director\, Transport & Environment \n\n\nProgramme:  \n19:00 – Welcome  \n19:05 – Prof. Julian Allwood: The Big Picture (what needs to change in the transport of goods and people in order for us to meet real zero carbon in the UK and EU)  \n19:30 – Jonathan Essex: key findings from upcoming GEF report on transport infrastructure investment  \n19:40 – Andrew Murphy: the aviation perspective  \n19:50 – Natalie Bennett: the political response  \n20:00 – Moderated Q&A  \nThis programme is provisional and may be subject to change. There will be interactive audience polling throughout this event.   \n\nPracticalities: \nThis event will take place online on Monday\, July 12th (19:00 – 20:30 CEST).  \nAdmission is free but please register in advance via this link.  \n  \n\nThis event is organised by the Green European Foundation with the support of Green House Think Tank and with the financial support of the European Parliament to the Green European Foundation.

SUMMARY:Transforming into a sustainable city: the green adventure of Ghent
DESCRIPTION:About the event:\nIn the transformation into a socio-ecological society\, frontrunner cities have become places of hope for implementing future-oriented policies and reconnecting with citizens. Moving beyond the experiment\, they are implementing transitions such as the change from a car-based mobility system into one giving priority to bicycles and public transport\, from a city full of concrete into a blue and green city that is a great place to stay and can cope with heat waves. This overall transformation enhances the quality of life for its inhabitants while taking responsibility for global challenges. \nOne of these inspiring cities is Ghent in Belgium. With the green party already strong in opposition\, it entered city government in 2013. Since then\, ambitious policies have been developed in fields such as mobility\, energy\, climate\, food and housing. It shows that radical change is possible. For instance\, a green mobility plan has led to a 17 per cent drop in car use while bicycle use has increased by more than 50 per cent. The city now also has a food policy and an ambitious social housing policy.\nGreen Vice-mayors Tine Heyse and Filip Watteeuw will talk about their ambitious policies\, how they realize it and of course what their future plans are. \nPart of the ‘Cities as Places of Hope’ series; a project launched in 2019 focusing on progressive city networks that are a key factor in the development of a positive narrative on the future of Europe. The project brings together partners from Spain\, Croatia\, Belgium\, North Macedonia\, Turkey and The Netherlands. \n  \nPracticalities:\nWhere: Online platform – ZOOM \nDate and Time: Wednesday 30th June 17:00 – 18:30 PM CET \nAudience: This event is an open digital seminar with the Cities as Places of Hope Project Partners\, Local Councillors and the general public. \nRegistrations are now open: Preview – Online Survey Software | Qualtrics Survey Solutions <<< \n  \n  \n\nThis event is organised by the Green European Foundation with the support of Oikos Think Tank and with the financial support of the European parliament to the Green European Foundation.

SUMMARY:Will The European Green Deal And EU Recovery Fund Benefit Women?
DESCRIPTION:About the Event:\nGender mainstreaming and gender budgeting have become popular concepts in recent years\, and the Von der Leyen Commission has highlighted gender equality time and time again as a key objective. At the same time\, the European Green Deal and EU Recovery Fund – two of the largest investments in Europe’s economy and future – have faced significant criticism for their apparent gender blindness. \nThis webinar will examine whether and how the EGD and Recovery Fund will benefit women\, and what can be done to push for better. Just like the COVID-19 pandemic\, the climate crisis is set to disproportionately affect women and other already marginalised groups. This makes it even more important to ensure that gendered policy perspectives – especially in times of crisis – are prominently present. \n\nContext:\nThis is the last of four public webinars as part of the project “Feminists in the Climate Movement\,” organised by GEF with the support of Visio\, Green Economics Institute\, Oikos\, and Fundacja Strefa Zieleni. With a closed training programme for selected Feminist Climate Ambassadors as well as a series of public events\, the project seeks to build capacity among (potential) climate leaders\, while highlighting the gendered aspects and impacts of the climate crisis to a broader audience. \n\nSpeakers:\nAlexandra Geese – German MEP (Greens/EFA)\, initiator of the Gender Impact Assessment NextGeneration EU report\, supporter of the #halfofit campaign \nUrszula Zielińska – Polish Green MP \nDr. Ewa Rumińska-Zimny – Economist at the SGH Warsaw School of Economics\, associated with the Congress of Women and expert of gender budgeting \n\nPracticalities:\nDate and time: Tuesday\, June 29th from 18:00 to 19:30 CEST. \nAudience: This webinar will take place in English and Polish (with simultaneous translation) and is open to the general public. \nRegistration: Please register in advance via this link. \n  \n  \n\nThis event is organised by the Green European Foundation\, with the support of Strefa Zieleni and with the financial support of the European Parliament to the Green European Foundation.

SUMMARY:Reforestation priorities for climate change mitigation: How the Recovery and Resilience Fund could be much more than “business as usual”?
DESCRIPTION:About the Event: \nIn order to tackle climate change and the need to rapidly absorb CO2 emissions\, targeting carbon neutrality in 2050 (or even before)\, the EU set the ambitious goal of planting  3 billion trees  by 2030. A project that will be financed by the Recovery and Resilience Fund (RRF) within the frame of the European Green Deal.  \nIs this goal feasible? Is it worth it according to other EU strategies\, action plans\, and spending programs (such as Common Agricultural Policy\, the Fork to Farm Strategy\, the new Biodiversity Strategy 2030\, and the Threatened Species Action Plans\, the new European Forestry Strategy? And if so\, how could we tackle land degradation and desertification issues within EU member states? \nContext: \nThis event is part of the Green European Foundations project Deforestation and Climate Change with the support of FREDA and the Green Institute Greece.  It follows three events held in March on productive reforestation\, climate change\, desertification\, erosion and the EU Recovery and Resilience Fund\, and the joint event on Agroforestry & Productive reforestation held in May.   \nSpeakers:   \nModerated by: Vula Tsetsi\, Secretary-General of the Greens/EFA Group\, European Parliament   \nDr. Rigas Tsiakiris Forest Ecologist\, Scientific Committee of the Green Institute Greece   \n‘’Productive reforestations for living rural landscapes”  \nPresentation of the results of the 4 previous events and the new booklet published by GEF-FREDA-GIG that summarizes the outcomes of the 3 webinars on “Productive reforestations” with concrete proposals and policy recommendations for RRF.  \nDr. Panagiotis Panagos\, Scientific/Research Officer\, European Commission\, Joint Research Centre Directorate D – Sustainable Resources \n“Priorities for soil protection policies in EU” \nThe EU’s commitment to Zero Land Degradation by 2030 (Land Degradation Neutrality) should be addressed effectively and efficiently in the EU policy agenda and Member States due to climate emergency\, agricultural intensification and population growth. SUMMARY:Metals for a Green and Digital Europe (Poland)
DESCRIPTION:Context\nThe energy transition and the development of renewable energy sources are not the only sustainable transformations that will require large amounts of metals. The electrification of transport\, the digitalisation (with all telecommunications and computerization devices) and\, more broadly\, the increase in the demand for batteries will also demand a significant quantity of certain minerals. \nThe European Commission predicts that in order to achieve climate neutrality by 2050\, the EU will need 60 times more lithium\, 15 times more cobalt and 10 times more rare earth metals than today – for the energy transition alone. Considering that the EU currently depends 75 to 100% on metal imports\, mainly from China\, this has serious geopolitical ramifications. \nThe European Commission aims for the Union to be as independent as possible to find the means to implement the European Green Deal. Working towards (or returning to) a metal mining production system in the EU is a serious option to consider as environmental and social standards are much higher in the EU than in developing countries. But of course\, the EU needs to start by developing the potential of the circular economy and recycling systems. Exploiting the accumulated mining and industrial waste containing metals\, and developing and improving the collection of products containing metals\, their recycling and recovery of raw materials\, and perhaps finished alloys. \nDoes our current economic model based on constant growth -and thus consumption- offer a chance for such subversive reductions in greenhouse gas emissions as assumed by the European Green Deal? Are we not supposed to embrace a transformation of the economic model? \nAbout the event\n  \nAs for the situation in Poland\, many questions remain unanswered: \n\nWhat are the national needs when it comes to metals?\n What are the blocking elements in the demand for metals for the green and digital transformation?\nWhere are the red lines to watch out for and priorities to defend?\nWhat are the positions on these issues?\n\nThis round table will provide as many answers as possible to these questions and explore paths for further analysis. \n\nThis project is organised by the Green European Foundation with the support of Fundacja Strefa Zieleni and with the financial support of the European Parliament to the Green European Foundation. The European Parliament is not responsible for the content of this event.

SUMMARY:Metals for a green and digital Europe
DESCRIPTION:About the event:\nThis online roundtable is invitation-only. You can still contribute to this project by commenting on the online draft text: http://www.metalsforeurope.eu \n\nContext:\nWhile the energy from the sun and wind is nearly infinite\, the resources we need to capture this energy are not. Solar panels\, wind turbines\, batteries\, and power cables all contain metals. These have to be extracted from ores that are dug up from the ground. Some metals are rare or becoming depleted. Most mining is dirty business. \nThe climate crisis leaves us no choice but to make a swift transition from fossil fuels to renewable energies. Already\, solar and wind power have entered the phase of exponential growth\, as have electric vehicles and the batteries that power them. The European Union will need up to 18 times more lithium and 5 times more cobalt in 2030 than it consumes today in total\, for electric car batteries and energy storage alone\, according to the European Commission. By 2050\, we would need almost 60 times more lithium and 15 times more cobalt. \nThe digital transition\, a second spearhead of the EU\, also relies on metals. Digitalisation can enhance our quality of life. But all digital technologies require energy and materials. Despite the ethereal metaphor of ‘the cloud’\, the data economy has a heavy material footprint\, which includes a wide array of metals. Gains in the energy and material efficiency of devices and networks are outpaced by the exponential growth of data use\, which doubles every two to three years. European demand for rare earth metals for digital technologies\, and for electric cars and wind turbines\, could increase tenfold by 2050. \nThe EU is between 75 and 100 percent dependent on imports for most metals. This creates risks for Europe’s security of supply and for its strategic autonomy. It also raises the issue of climate justice since the greatest burdens of metal mining are falling on the Global South. Therefore\, metals might well become the Achilles heel of the energy and digital transitions. \nShould we make a more sparing use of joules and bytes to save metals? How do we stop valuable metals from ending up as waste? Can we procure those metals that we really need in a way that is equitable for developing countries and future generations? This project aims to develop an Agenda for Action at all political levels\, which charts a course towards a responsible sourcing of metals for a green and digital Europe. \nThe roundtable will be moderated by Suzanne Kröger\, former MP for GroenLinks\, Netherlands. \nDate and time: Friday 18 June\, from 14:00 to 16:00 CEST \nAudience: This roundtable is invitation-only. \nContact: Richard Wouters\, rwouters (at) groenlinks.nl \n  \n\nThis project is organised by the Green European Foundation with the support of Wetenschappelijk Bureau GroenLinks and with the financial support of the European Parliament to the Green European Foundation.
