Codrii Iaşilor is an informal activist group, working on protecting the old woods of Iasi. To the south of Iasi lies one of the largest, oldest and most diverse extra-Carpathian forests in Romania. Mixed forest with secular oaks and goruni, it is home to a wide variety of plants, reptiles, insects and animals.
