It aims at the study, analysis and dissemination of all aspects of ecological thinking and political ecology. The Institute was created after an initiative undertaken by the Green Political Party “Oikologoi Prasinoi” (Ecologists Greens) of Greece. Although they are affiliated to the Green Party, they do preserve an independent character. They work to promote research and documentation on environment, society, economy and politics from the perspective of political ecology.
