GEF and its North Macedonian partner will build on their existing pioneering work on energy cooperatives in the region to implement a two-day conference in North Macedonia. It will feature workshops and discussions further promoting the Energy Democracy concept and elaborating on European debates and practices with the goal to address existing challenges and negative trends and stimulate positive changes in North Macedonia and the Balkan region. The project will focus on innovation, but also pay particular attention to gender and youth as categories that are least represented in cooperative entrepreneurship.
