▶ Going Local: Translating International Negotiations into Local Climate Action

Event type: Hybrid

Description:

How can the negotiations and action needed at the global level be translated into local action? As Greens are increasingly taking leadership roles in cities and regional governments across Europe (and the rest of the world? tbc) how can Green priorities on climate adaptation, justice and resilience be implemented at the local level?

Join us for a session to hear from some inspiring examples – Greens in local leadership pushing for ambition and making the places we live, from communities, through to cities and regions, into the climate- and people-friendly spaces we want!

Speakers:

Moderated by Evelyne Huytebroeck, Co-chair of the European Green Party

  • Christy Mearns, Glasgow Deputy Lorde Provost
  • Dan Lert, Deputy Mayor of Paris
