SUMMARY:Vienna Feminist Climate Conference / Feministische Klimakonferenz
DESCRIPTION:About the event\nWomen are taking a strong and successful stand to curb the climate crisis. In many countries\, the climate movement has female faces. However\, neither the causes and impacts nor the efforts to find solutions are equally distributed among women and men. A recent analysis by the aid organization CARE with data from more than 100 countries shows that 150 million more women are affected by the hunger crisis than men – due to impacts of climate change and the biodiversity crisis\, the Corona pandemic and the war in Ukraine. Food security declines as gender inequality grows. Globally\, inequality has risen (again) in the past three years. \nBased on these findings\, it is high time for a second Feminist Climate Conference – in order to raise awareness of the range and interconnections of the effects outlined above and to continue working on the development of long-term solution models. All crises are causally or impactfully interconnected. Holistic approaches to solutions are therefore a top priority. In the framework of the conference\, the Green European Foundation is organising the evening event From Grassroots to City Halls. Talk with feminist and ecological urban visionaries\,  giving space to female thinkers\, creators and activists from different European towns to share their experience. \nSpeakers & Programme\n9:00 Arrival (day programme organised by Grünen Bildungswerkstatt Wien) \n9:30 Welcome words by organisers \n\nJudith Pühringer (Stadträtin\, Parteivorsitzende Grüne Wien)\nElisabeth Kittl (Bundesrätin\, Obfrau Grüne Bildungswerkstatt Wien)\nMeri Disoski (Nationalrätin\, Grüne Frauensprecherin)\nJulia Schriffl (stellv.
