Nurturing Resilience: Personal Fortitude for the Common Struggles

Building Resilience will offer space to explore core ideas around cultivating resilience at the personal, organsational, and community levels. This session will discuss resilience as a concept, including the challenges it presents when responsibility is placed on individuals rather than on systems. The focus will be on learning how to nurture resilience through practices that support well-being, emotional awareness, rest and recovery, and foster a sense of connection to self and others. Foundational strategies in stress management and self-efficacy will also be discussed to help strengthen a resilient mindset. With a few interactive components, the session will allow for reflection on resilience and offer practical skills that can be integrated into both work and community efforts over time.
