A Different Politics: Green Leadership and the 2024 EU Elections

Over the past decade, European politics has been transformed by two trends. On the one hand, the rise of populist leaders offering easy answers and the promise to stick up for their “people”. On the other, a political and social awakening around the climate crisis and the fundamental society-wide challenge it represents. This debate will discuss what these twin developments reveal about politics and society today and what role they will play in the 2024 elections.

Organised by the Green European Journal.
