Ecocide Conference (Istanbul)

About
This conference will aim to revise and share the knowledge, experiences, and collective memory gathered so far through previous projects such as the ‘Ecological Constitution Initiative’ and ‘Nature Has Rights’. The ‘Ecocide and Rights of Nature’ conference will draw attention to the rights of nature, and will contribute to strengthen environmental protection monitoring and advocacy actions, with the intention to reinforce political discourse in nature conservation movements. The “Ecocide and Rights of Nature” conference will gather nature rights defenders, activists, academics, lawyers, and green actors fighting against ecocide from Turkey and Europe.

Location: Bahçeşehir University, Beşiktaş.
Language: This conference will be in Turkish with simultaneous translation to English.
