How will the Coronavirus Change Education in Poland and Europe?

This event is part of the Green Post-Corona Talks Poland, a series of participatory online talks with inspiring guests offering an analysis on what is at stake in this crisis and what positive ideas and concepts there are for a green post-corona vision.

About the Event:

The last debate of the Green European Foundation series Green Post-Corona Talks Polska, with the support of Fundacja Strefa Zieleni, will tackle the topic of education and teaching.

Online learning has become the norm in Poland and the EU, the experiences of students are shifting.  Our panel will look at the lessons to be learned from this year’s changes to education and the current state of learning in Poland.

What will post-COVID-19 teaching look like?

Speakers:

Prof. dr hab. Małgorzata Żytko – Researcher at the Faculty of Pedagogy of the University of Warsaw, member of ATEE (Association for Teacher Education in Europe) and PTP (Polish Pedagogical Society), OECD expert in the field of early education. Research interests: psychological, pedagogical and social aspects of children’s development and education, supporting the professional development of teachers, designing and implementing innovative educational solutions for primary school.

Angelika Apanowicz – A chemistry and biology teacher associated with Waldorf schools in Warsaw and Poznań. For several years she was the director of the Waldorf school complex in Warsaw, academic lecturer.

Wiktor Miazek – High school student in a class with a mathematical, physical and chemical profile at the XXXI Secondary School in Łódź, Young Greens activist, chairman of the association “Ostra Zieleń”.
