Responsible Use of Media

How can you develop a mindful, responsible approach to social media as a strong foundation for informed, impactful activism in the digital age? In the era of disinformation campaigns, AI fakes, how do we ensure that we use and interact with the media responsibly and sustainably – in particular on social media? You will leave the workshop with practical skills and a list of resources.

Carla Allenbach, Co-founder and Managing Director of European Correspondent

Carla is co-founder and managing director of The European Correspondent, a pan-European media outlet covering the big societal challenges, political shifts, and ideas that impact your life in some way, such as the fight against the climate crisis, the rise of the far-right or addressing migration. She previously worked at EURACTIV in Brussels, for the Swiss digital magazine Republik as well as for a political campaign start-up. She is elected co-president of the Cooperative Council of Project R, the main shareholder of Republik AG. Carla is deeply committed to advancing the cause of independent and quality journalism, striving to create an environment where journalistic integrity thrives and serves the public interest. Before moving into the media sector, she has worked as campaigner for a political movement in Switzerland.
