Claude Weinber

Claude Weinber is an independent consultant and advisor specializing in international relations, conflict resolution, democratization, civic participation, and ecological transition. Though officially retired, Claude remains actively engaged in political advisory work. From 1997 to 2012, he worked for the Heinrich Böll Foundation, establishing and directing its offices in Israel and Brussels. In Israel, his work focused on minority rights and civil society participation in democracy. As Director of the HBS EU office in Brussels, he contributed to debates on EU enlargement and ecological transition. Between 2008 and 2014, Claude served as Secretary General of the Green European Foundation while simultaneously advising a Green MEP. He works as a freelance consultant with Action in Mediterranean (AIM) and spent 2024 and much of 2025 in Israel as interim Director of the HBS Israel office. Claude continues advising German Green Party leadership and Belgian NGO sector personalities, bringing decades of experience in green politics and international relations.
