In 2022, GEF, with the support of the Bosch Alumni Network, published the publication “Fighting Conspiracy Theories on TikTok”’. Now we are happy to present our Croatian translation too alongside Sustainable Development Forum Green Window.

About the event

The goal of this discussion is to analyse conspiracy theories on social media with concrete examples of recent times. Alongside the panelists, the audience will engage in a discussion about the rapid rise of TikTok as a platform, susceptibility of youth towards conspiracy theories on TikTok and the way conspiracy theories spread. The discussion will end with potential solutions on how to fight the spread of fake news and encourage the dissemination of truthful information in an interesting and suitable way.

Speakers

  • Nina Klarin, Head of Social Media, 404 agency
  • Duje Kovačević, activist and journalist, srednja.hr
  • Domagoj Bebić, Phd, professor, Faculty of Political Sciences of the University of Zagreb
