Gender

We have assembled a team of 20 enthusiastic participants, who are taking part in a series of seminars discussing the theory, experience, and achievements of gender studies from a green policy perspective. This project will culminate in an international conference held in October.

About the Event:

GEF together with the Green Thought Association is launching a year-long project on gender equality and green politics. Selected participants take part in monthly expert and activist workshops, building knowledge and creating video content on selected topics for wider dissemination.

The next workshop will be held online on May 2nd, featuring as speaker Dr. Ümit Şahin. The topics that will be covered are:

  • What is green politics?
  • What are the key debates of green politics in Turkey and in the world?
  • General information about the history of the ecology movement in Turkey

Context:

Workshops are open to selected applicants only and are held in Turkish, but will culminate in a larger conference in October that includes the participation of international speakers as well.
