About the Event

The Covid crisis has highlighted that an overwhelming majority of care workers are women. This makes them essential, and during the pandemic they have been at the frontline, This event will focus on the following quesions: what has changed for women frontline workers during the pandemic, and what hasn’t? What’s the State of Play and what remains to be done?

 

Programme

Speakers:

  • Meri Disoski,  Elected representative to the National Council of Austria and Spokeswoman to the Austrian Greens
  • Katharina Mader, researcher at the University of Vienna with a focus on feminist economics
  • Beate Kayer, midwife and Vice-President of the Austrian Committee of Midwives
  • Alexandra Geese, Member of the Greens/EFA Group in the European Parliament
