Join us for the presentation of a new book on the role of the (welfare) state in degrowth transformations in Leuven! We will host a discussion with the Co-author of the book Max Koch and explore how the Green New Deal and the Degrowth thinking are connected!
About the event
Professor Max Koch (Lund University) presents a new book co-written with Hubert Buch-Hansen and Lana Nesterova. The lecturer introduces the theoretical framework of the book, zooms in on the role of the (welfare) state in degrowth transformations and presents empirical research results about these processes and corresponding eco-social policies.
Project background
This event is part of the Green European Foundation’s A Just Green Deal for All transnational project. The project aims to provide ideas on how to pave the way for a Green New Deal that is based on a fair and just society and does not leave anyone behind.
